Tom Papania was direct-examined by his attorney Mr Alan I Begner, and Tom was asked if he had, "Ever been a member of the Gambino Mafia family?"
Tom's reply: "No, I have not."
Tom Papania was then asked if he had, "Ever been a member of any Mafia family?"
Tom's reply: "No, I have not." (page 144)
